How would an ordinary guy be able to handle such a thing as this: pulling a pretty heavy cart in a dry land with intense heat. This would probably cause a person to faint and die in the heat. Oddly enough in this world, the person doing this at this very moment: Ryuu seemed to be doing this effortlessly with no one but himself. He was pulling his cart which could be his home for this wandering mercenary. The drifter just went along the dry land with no one but himself pulling around his things.
The weather, the land itself might of felt as if it was getting hotter and hotter trying to dehydrate people to death and this feeling caused Ryuu to stop and take a break. Ryuu looked around his cart for some water and he luckily found it. He hopped onto his cart and drank water from canteen as he watched the boring environment. So lonely and lifeless would be the correct words to describes this place or at least that is what Ryuu thought although he didn't care to change it. All the mercenary wanted was to find work though here would be the worst place

Beryl limped through the humid savannah. She had come this way, knowing it was far away from any source of water. This place felt most like home, except there was more grass and trees. It was a refreshing change, seeing some sources of life. She was willing to begin in a new place, but she wasn't sure where or how to start. This place was almost suitable, but something about it just didn't feel right. It felt far too dark. Perhaps it was her natural element that gave her this feeling.
She stalked through the tall grass, little bugs flying in her ears and eyes. She caught sight of what looked like a man with a large cart. Her curiousity struck, and quietly she leaped over to get a closer look.

This environment almost seem like a kiss of death unless the sparkles of life all around was just an unlucky streak caused by karma. Ryuu's thought of this place was that of a graveyard, though he wasn't surprised that there wasn't any sort of corpse here. Though it would be an interesting thing to find. A dead body in this place could prove some life to this place unless the dead person or animal was an idiot coming here for a fun adventure. Now he was getting a feeling of seeing a pathetic person.
Ryuu feeling quenched from his water, put his canteen down and then decided to take a break. He laid down on his cart watching the sun. Ryuu wouldn't expect anything to happen like an animal to come but he wouldn't be left unguarded if something did happen. His sword was laying next to him ready for him to use if something would happen.

Beryl froze when the man stopped and laid down. Had he heard her? She went in a roundabout way, trying to come closer in a direction where he couldn't see her. The contents of that cart were driving her mad. Her curiousity was getting out of hand. Still inching forward, panting and salivating, her eyes always darted back to the man for a second before she stalked forward. Hoping that she hadn't given herself away, she began to move hastily.
She leaned back on her haunches and leaped forward, grasping onto the cart with her claws. She scrambled up into it and began sniffing around. Something good had to be here.

A strange feeling began to creep into Ryuu's nervous as he began to sit up again. He felt like something was here, something was looking at him for some strange reason. Ryuu grabbed his blade next to him and jumped off the cart and began to stand in a battle position. He was not entirely sure what was here but he just knew something was out there. Oddly enough though, there was no fear in his face or within his mind, he was ready for something to pop up and violence.
Ryuu began to walk around his cart, sort of expecting something to strike as if an ambush was going to happen. This wasn't the first time something like this happened. Many theifs would try to ambush him in attempt to steal anything from his cart though not many were successful and if they did some how manage to escape, it was with something small.
Ryuu kept moving some what slow with his sword in hand ready for something thought he thought of something that could make this whole thing quite faster. Ryuu using his strength, he hit the floor with his sword and managed to create a small quake within the cart hoping for the trespasser to fall.

Beryl whimpered and skidded across the bottom of the cart as the earthquake shook the ground. Eventually the whole thing just toppled over and she got dumped out. She shook her fur, trying to get the dirt off. She whipped her head around and growled at the culprit of the earthquake. "What's your problem!?" She stalked towards him, her claws raking into the ground.
"Does everyone have an issue with me trying to get some food today? First the horse, now this..." She sneezed, pieces of dry grass going up her nostrils. Wasn't anyone in this world even the least bit considerate?

Though in the inside there was a bit of shook of the talking woof, the outer appearance of his face and body, was the same: of a serious person about to strike. Ryuu stared at the wolf sine it spoke . it wanted something from his cart? That was simply a no for Ryuu. The cart was all he had and all he needed to live and anyone wanting to steal something from it would probably be harm by Ryuu. He didn't let anyone steal from it and the wolf was no exception. In a cold, serious, threatening tone, Ryuu responded with the wolf with "This would be my equipment to live, if you need something go find it yourself. Why would a talking wolfy need something a human needs?! Leave now or this is goign to end with you having 2 legs and no throat."

Beryl recoiled at his threat. "'Wolfy!?!?'" She was mad now. Undermining her was not a wise move. "I beg your pardon, but even if I'm not a skinny, hairless, two legged, backward creature like you, I still have a stomach to fill. It's not nearly as easy as it used to be to find any prey, as I am sure you well know!" She could not even hide the irritation in her voice. Grunting, she turned around and began to dig in the dirt, tossing the muck back in this man's face. "Treat a lady that way... Never in my life.." she muttered angrily under her breath, licking her dirty fur.
She had major knots, both from the elf and this stupid earthquake. She began to wonder how long it would take to get herself clean again. She hoped her poor tongue could take the pressure. It wouldn't help at all to roll in the grass; it would probably just crunch under her weight. Not that I'm fat, that is, she reasoned, reassuring herself.

Even though the wolf was throwing all this muck at Ryuu's face, he didn't move an inch even though he had the speed to. He just stood there taking the dirt just keeping his eyes closed until the wolf stopped and that is when he opened his eyes. He honestly didn't care what this wolf want or what it was looking for. Though this wasn't in his face, Ryuu was pretty angered by the fact that the wolf was trying to steal from him and now complaining about not getting what it wanted. " Do you often act like a spoiled child whining when they dont get what it wants? " Ryuu said to the wolf ignoring the fact this might make the wolf angrier.
There was a sort of part of him wanting to help the wolf but he always was already annoyed by it and his talking to her didn't hide the fact of that. He started to think of a woglf as a annoying spoiled girl who just wanted everything. It was true there was nothing here but the wolf shouldn't steal especially from Ryuu.

Beryl growled fiercely. "No, actually. I haven't been spoiled at all throughout my life. I just have rather irritable opinions. And I'm freakin' hungry, okay? I think my stomach is going to turn into a black hole and suck all of your precious cart up with it." She licked her paws thoroughly, trying to get the gunk off her pads. Groaning the only way a wolf could, she flopped down against the ground and panted heavily. Not only was she hungry, she was pretty thirsty too. That was unexpected. She could often go a week or two without much water. "So much for a better life away from home.." she grumbled.
She rolled around against the ground, trying to cool herself off. It was a useless attempt, and she knew it. For once in her life, she wished for a cold breeze, something. The heat must really be getting to me.

Ryuu just watched the dog throwing to the floor and then rolling around. Ryuu stared at the dog with the usual cold stare although in his head but there was some concern. He didn't really see anything wrong the wolf was doing minus the fact he was stealing from Ryuu. Ryuu sighed to himself and near him he picked up a bowl. Ryuu grabbed his canteen with water and then he filled the bowl with water and laid it next to the wolf for her to drink. Then Ryuu went away from the wolf to pick up his cart up from the ground and he began to put back his things back up his cart.

Beryl set her ears back as he set the bowl of water in front of her. What did he think she was, a dog? Swallowing back any insults, she managed to muster a "thank you" and began to lap at it daintily. At least it was clean. The two-leggers really needed to learn the difference between wild canine and petty house pet. "Would you happen to know where I might be able to find others of my kind?" she asked warily. To be truthful, she was feeling lonesome these days, and having someone who understood her needs could help her survive in this unfamiliar territory. She nudged away the bowl of water, not being able to take the loss of dignity.

Ryuu just kept on picking up all his belongs to his cart in a quick speedy pace which made things look like easy work. Within these last moments, most of Ryuu's stuff were already on his cart and he was just collecting the last of things. He kept throwing the things on top the cart and when all his things were up, he threw his sword up to his cart then collected the bowl and water from the wolf and put it back to his cart. Once he was finished cleaning, he looked at the wolf and just listened to what the animal said. His head thought he went a but loose from talking this wolf but he responded " Wolfs aren't uncommon creatures. There should be packs in the desert or the Taiga or a forest." Once he finished speaking, he grabbed his cart with all the things in it ready to depart.

Beryl leaped up as she saw signs of him starting to go. She hesitated, not sure of what to do. Should she voice her wishes, or keep silent and just keep moving? Life on her own was far too dull. Hesitantly she called out, "Wait!" Racing up to him with her hind leg trailing behind her, she stopped beside him and his cart. "It seems as though you're working alone." She sniffed around, not smelling anything else but this man and what smells like potpourri. "Would you, perhaps, like a traveling companion?" Her tail was swishing fervently with anticipation.

Ryuu stopped the cart as the wolf caught up with him . He stared at it with the same cold looking face but inside of him was an expression of shock. He never really had anyone to travel with and now this wolf was offering. First of it, he did like the wolf how it didn't really care though he was mad about this wolf stealing. Second, the wolf did seem to be helpful in case Ryuu did have to leave his cart for work. He glared at the wolf and then with a quick speech responded saying " If you dont mind me taking up jobs, hop on the cart or follow me, i dont give a damn." Ryuu said waiting for a couple minutes to see what the wolf would do. This would me no more silent time for Ryuu or at least something like that. It was something Ryuu was not used to anymore and didn't know what to do.
