Others call me Raffy.
I have survived here for 100+ years.
There's no doubt I am a male.
My place in this world is a Guardian.

WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR...
*Bronze hair frames the sharp, strong face of this elven Guardian. His features are very angled and exotic-looking, but possess something almost stone-like about them. His eyes are creased with worry lines and dark circles from lack of sleep and pure stress. Standing at about six feet, Raphael has a strong and sturdy build with slight muscles. He has a touch of six'o'clock shadow around his lips and chin that match the golden sheen of his hair.
Always dressed in the clothes of a hunter, Raphael can easily blend in with the surroundings of the Life he protects. His eyes are a sparkling crystal blue, like the colors of the ever-moving waters of the Teardrop River. His long ears come to a graceful point and have silver rings dangling from three places. A leather sheath hugs his hips and within it lies a razor-sharp blade with a golden hilt.

MY OWN PERSON...
* Worrisome, stressful, frequently indecisive, and overly protective, Raphael encompasses all that mortals know to be life. His compassion and mercy is very evident in how he pities Axel, even after all the turmoil the man of Death has caused. Raphael's biggest fear is taking the life of another creature, even if it's only the smallest fly. It feels like a piece of himself has been killed as well whenever he is forced to kill a living being. This is the reason for his immense mercy; he believes there is always a better way than Death. Raphael is prone to arguing, especially with Axel, since they always clash heads. He is surprisingly headstrong and somewhat stubborn when it comes to his decisions. He has found that trusting the words of others only leads to pain and destruction.
Far more important to him than any other creature in the universe is his one love, his daughter Ebony. She is his world, although he rarely gets to see her. Everything he does is to make sure she grows up in a safe and healthy world. Although as of now, that doesn't seem likely. Raphael's confidence in everything, including himself, is very low at this time and often finds himself bombarded with disappointment and distress. Unknown to most, even Axel, Raphael has suffered with plaguing depression on and off ever since his becoming of a Guardian. He keeps a strong facade for his people to maintain their hope when he himself has very little. The one thing he never loses, however, is his determination.

THE STORY OF MY PAST...
*Raphael's life has no meaning without his family. They are his everything. When his wife died in a house ten years ago he nearly fell apart, but his loving daughter helped him push through. Leaving her behind was the hardest decision he ever had to make, but he did it for her safety. He left her with an elderly grandmother to watch over her, hoping she could forgive him. When the Guardian Wars blew through he was so afraid he would lose them both, so no matter where he was, he would always keep a watchful eye over the two. They have saved him from his worst fits of depression and he devotes his life and Guardianship to them.
