Elizabeth was fully aware that there was no stopping Athena now, so she jumped right in alongside her. "Yes, can't a Guardian even know how to fight?" Her raven hair began to fly up as winds rushed through the trees. A few vines encased in a black barrier slithered out from the forest. They raised off the ground by Elizabeth's side, then shot down towards the boy. Her thoughts were ringing with pleasure as her psychic abilities reached their full potential, happy to be released after a long time. She knew she couldn't strain herself, but she might as well have some fun with the time she had.

"Expand." Dai said in the mystc language. The barrier expanded quickly and Dai walked around in it. "Please, I don't want to do anything to hurt you two." He said with a smile. His staff glowed as if it were speaking to him. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt them." He said. Suddenly a blinding light came from the staff as Dai closed his eyes. It lasted for a second or two then Dai opened his eyes. Hopefully it blinded them, was his thought. He saw the vines and got a little scared but bot much.

Athena let out a roar as the light pierced her eyes. It was so bright, so blinding. Everything around her seemed to faze in and out and spots swirled around her vision. Luckily she had shielded her eyes after the first few seconds. But it still blinded her. She tried to locate the man, but couldn't. Her whole senses seemed to be haywire. But she did manage to stumble upon his location. As she put a step forward she tripped and landed by the field, her wing hitting it. Getting up she lashed her tail at the force field, attempting to break it. Again and again her tail hit it, the spines on her back glinting like teeth, ready to taste the blood of her prey. Her sight started coming back, slowly but surely.

Elizabeth grunted and shielded her eyes as the light exploded from the guardian. Her eyes still closed tightly, she summoned her power. Darkness of clairvoyance, lend me your sight. Even though her eyes were still closed, she could see everything as if through different eyes. The colors were all the opposite of what they were supposed to be. It didn't matter; she could still make sense of everything. She stalked forward towards him, slamming her fist and telekenisis against the barrier, trying to make it break. A few more vines also jabbed into the barrier trying to find a weak spot. "Don't you cower from us in your little bubble!" she yelled. It was quite infuriating, the way he was just attacking them while hiding away.

Dai sighed. "I suppose it's time for seriousness." He held his staff out and said a spell. Suddenly a very strong wind kicked up in the barrier and formed a sort of tornado. He let down the barrier so the whirlwind could gain more speed. He let out another spell to send huge blasts of telekinetic energy out at them. Then he jumped out of the winds at the human girl and swiped at her with the staff a few times

The great wind struck Athena, it's harsh fingers tried to grab at Athena and pull her away by her wing. Her noble form was scrunched to te ground as she struggled to keep her large wings under control. Claws dug into the earth, and the spikes that were at the bottom of the wings stuck their full length into the ground. When the telekinetic energy rushed toward she she immediately put up a barrier in her mind, protecting herself. letting out a roar the wind stopped as she roared a counter spell. Then she pulled herself off the ground and waited, Elizabeth could take care of herself. But if that man made a single mark on her friend, she wouldn't give him a pleasant death.

Elizabeth easily blocked herself from the telekenisis. It seemed he had forgotten her psychic abilities already. "I really hate to do this," she muttered. Closing her eyes, she moved her hands in the direction of a tree. It began to uproot, making awful groaning noises as it was lifted out of the ground. It was difficult for her as well to hold such a large weight for even a moment's time. Gathering all her strength, she hurled the tree at the wizard, blocking some of the wind from ever causing her any damage. Pieces of debris flew from the tree, but she was able to put a forcefield around herself to keep any injuries at bay. She looked over at Athena, knowing that a dragon could carry herself. If something ever happened to her during this fight, she would surely give this wizard a pounding that if he walked away from it, he would surely never forget it. ((Friends think alike ))

Dai saw the tree flying at him and decided that was his best intrest to dodge or destroy it. "Air blades!" He yelled in the mystic language. About ten translucent white blades shot from in front of him. All of them went to the tree to slice it to bits. "I don't want to bring out my big spells, but it seems I have to." He said after seeing his whirlwind was gone. Once again in the mystic language he said, "Spirits of the trees, please help me in this battle. If you can, defeat these two witout harm." The trees began to shake and move. Their roots moved onto ground and about four of the biggest trees in that area came to Dai's aid. "Young man, we shall help you. And, as you asked, we will try not to bring them harm. The trees' voices said in his mind. Dai smiled, "Thank you."

Athena's hard scales protected her from the shards of the tree as it splintered into smithereens. As the trees came closer to her, their roots reaching out, trying to grab her and tangle her in their fingers. Yelling out she called," If any of you get near me you will no longer live." As an example she blew fire at one that qualified as to close. Whipping her tail around she attempted to thrash the wizard. Yes, this man would fear her power and tremble at he touch.

Elizabeth shielded her face as the blades ripped through the tree. Sending out a silent call to the forest, I apologize for taking one of your own. She then turned her attention back to the wizard and her dragon friend who was in the process of threatening the trees rather effectively. Not much could overpower a dragon. She, however, was a bit of a different story. She was struggling to hold ground, her mind becoming weary. Thinking as quickly as possible, she gathered her forces and struck out with a stabbing like mental attack, aimed towards the wizard. I sure hope he doesn't show up, she thought to herself, just wondering about the possibilities.

Dai growled a little. He never liked fighting seriously serious. His lips formed a spell that blocked the dragon's tail and the girl's mental attack. "Reflection!" He yelled in the mystic language. The mental attack that he stopped fired back at her and the dragon's tail swung the opposite way. "Vine wrapping prison." He said in the mystic tongue. Vines shot out of the ground and began to wrap around the two who were trying to kill him. "Why are you trying to kill me?" He asked them. He was trying to reason wiht them so he wouldn't have to continue.

Anger welled within Athena until it seemed like that great heart of hers was going to burst. As vines tried to wrap around her tail she caused fire to cut them at the roots, making them shrivel, grow weak, and turn into nothing but dust. Turning to the wizrard, in blinding speed. She grabbed him with her talons as her wings beat furiously. Dust arose around them and like a shot she was in the air. The ground was disappearing fast beneath them, and the trees that had dwarfed even she, were now in turn small. All sense had vanished from her, and what used to be reason, now only turned to anger. her mind was caught up in memories. Painful memories. even though she had not seen her fathers death, at the hand of wizards and dragon hunters, her mother had shown her it through telepathy. Her eyes were half crazed in this memory. “I do not think you will bother me or my kind anymore… not after this.” A grim smile came to her lips as her talons got prepared to drop their burden.

Elizabeth struggled and wriggled within the vines, feeling like a fly caught in a spider web. When she saw the look in Athena's eyes, she knew this couldn't go on. She reached into Athena's mind, bombarded by all these awful images and memories. Trying not to get lost in them, she made her presence more dominant, forcing its way through everything else running through Athena's mind. "Athena! You must stop! He isn't worth killing!" she pleaded, hoping Athena would be able to hear her. Some of the things within her mind certainly were aggressive, including her emotions at this current time. She would have to be the voice of reason for her now.

Dai didn't realize he was in the air until he heard Athena say something. "Thiiiiiis is high...." He said. He looked at the dragon's face. It was angry and had an evil grin on it. "Please dragon, I meant no harm, it was the two of you who began this battle. If you wish to drop me you can, I will use my spells to stop my fall." He said. His hand found itself rubbing one of the dragon's scales. "You have beautiful scales. I couldn't see how anyone would want to harm such a wonderous creature." He said, mainly to himself.

A small whisper of a voice came through Athena's mind, piercing through the rage and emotion that was controlling her. Her eyes grew slightly confused. What was Elizabeth saying, why was she saying this? Didn't she understand? But this was all Athena's mind needed to start to think rationally once again. With a bitter tone she said to him, "Yes, perhaps you would like one for a keepsake. Good luck trying to get it." But even though her words were harsh, a slight feeling of pride welled within her. Dragons were intensely proud of their scales, and hers happened to be the color of something most dragons liked most, gold. She muttered loudly, "Elizabeth is right, you don't deserve the honor of a dragon killing you. " She glared at him for a moment before without warning she pinned her wings to her side. Both of them plummeted down at a break neck speed, the earth below whirled and seemed to advance upon them like a stone being hurled at you. At the very last moment, when all hope seemed lost of coming out of this drop alive, Athena spread her wings and landed as gently as a feather. Setting the wizard down she turned from him and Elizabeth, and cleaned the talon that had held him.
