Kaylen's bright hair stood out in sharp contrast to the white surroundings. Looking up at the snowflakes that were gently floating downwards, she clasped her hands together with excitement. "Oh, how beautiful!" running forward she tried to catch one and spun around with her hands held high. "I understand why you wanted to come here!" A smile was bright on her lips as she gazed around her. "Sure it is missing the greenery, but it's just so...." She clasped her hands again and smiled, without finishing her sentence. It had taken a while to get here, but hopefully they had come soon enough. "Where do you live?" She questioned as she gazed out at the snow.

Ravi flew through the cold air where Taiga was. Hmmmm.... She's helping the Ice Nymph Gaurdian. I think... he thought. He felt very awkward just following her about. His heart flew with the wind as he dove down. His dark feathers were shimmering and going against the wind. What should I say? he wondered. He landed very poorly when he thought and landed on his hind-quarters. "S-sorry if I scared you," he apologized. He was flushed with embarrassment. He got up, with his wings flying. "My name's Ravi. I would like to know yours," he told the pretty nymph.

Sylfaen took in a deep, refreshing breath. Ah, the fresh bitterness of freezing air. He hadn't felt this in quite some time, and it was such a relief that he took in as much as he could at once. His thoughts were so engorged in the joy that he had been able to survive every trial and near death experience, that he almost didn't hear the girl's question. Smirking, he replied, "Oh, believe me. We can't miss it." Tundra hooted with pleasure; she was also overjoyed to finally be home. The only thing that seemed strange to Sylfaen was the fact that he hadn't yet returned to his original state. He still felt rather hollow. Perhaps it won't happen till I reach the village, he thought hopefully. It had been quite some time since he had been in this sort of climate. He had, however, noticed that he was feeling much more carefree than he had in the small village.
He was taken by surprise at the sight of a stammering man with black wings, talking to the kind nymph who had assisted him. "Black wings..." he thought out loud. He could feel an almost stabbing reaction to the sight. So many awful memories were associated with black feathers. So many deaths, and that fire, raining down from the sky like the apocalypse...
Sylfaen was jolted out of his thoughts by a gentle peck on his neck from Tundra's beak. He stroked her feathery head gently. "...How did you find us?" he asked more coldly than he had intended. He supposed it was prejudice; black wings always made him uncomfortable, no matter who bared them.

"I'm sorry if I scared you. I thought I heard someone and followed..." he trailed away. He scratched his head in embarrassment. "I'm not supposed to be here. Aren't I? I'll leave right now if you want me to. Or I can help you. It's your choice not mine," Ravi spoke very quickly as his heart began to beat fast. He laid his hand down. I have completly made a joke of myself. What kind of idiot am I? he thought. His heart was beating fast now. He shifted his eyes back to the prety nymph then to the ice nymph.

Sylfaen stared at the boy with such a look of confusion. What on earth was he stammering about? He couldn't even understand half of what he was spurting out.He paused for a moment, the look of utter confusion still on his face. "Well, it's not as if we need much help..." His eyes shifted over to the girl, questioning in his eyes. "...Do you know him?" he asked her through his mind. Something about this just didn't make sense. Why was he following them in the first place? Could he possibly be a spy, working for someone? No, he thought, spies wouldn't be this flustered and careless.
Not wanting to wait much longer, Tundra waddled back and forth antsily on Sylfaen's shoulder. She didn't like this strange person, plus she wanted to go back to her old comfy perch. She gave out a small little coo, and Sylfaen caressed the feathers down her back. She fluffed up for a moment then stood, still as stone, glowering at this hindrance.

Kaylen shifted her gaze to Sylfaen and shook her head to his inquiry. "You did give me a start,.." She clasped her hands behind her back and flushed slightly, she had never been looked at in the manner that this boy was looking at her. Shyness crept into her eyes as she looked down, flustered. But when he mentioned leaving she rushed forward a couple steps in the boys direction and said, "Oh, no it's fine...The more the merrier is what I always say. You never know when you need an extra hand.[/]b" She smiled at the boy and then turned to face Sylfaen, noticed Tundra's glaring. "Oh dear, you do have a short amount of patience.." She said to the bird and then turning back to the boy said, "Oh I think we need to keep moving...But I'm fine with you staying.." Taking a couple steps forward in the direction she said to Sylfaen. "You lead now, you know where to go better than I do.. or I hope so."

Ravi smiled at the pretty nymph. "Thanks. I got lonely just being by myself," he told her, "I'm sorry. I didn't give you two... or three counting your little friend," he pointed at the bird. "My name's Ravi. I would like to know all of yours," he told them. He turned to follow the nymph helping the other. Is the ice nymph a Gaurdian? he wondered. Ravi did sense gaurdian here before he even relized it.

Sylfaen just shrugged and added, "I suppose it couldn't do any harm." Tundra hooted in disagreement. Sylfaen playfully closed her beak shut with his thumb and forefinger. "Oh hush, you." She shook her beak out of his grasp, giving him a reproachful look."By the way, this cynical creature is Tundra. She's not exactly personable." Tundra's head cocked back a bit as if she resented that. Sylfaen's melodious chuckle rang out, truly full of laughter. He hadn't laughed like that in quite some time. "Come now, you must be honest with yourself." He began to walk past Kaylen and Ravi, Tundra cooing as his feet crunched through the snow.
He was still trying to decide whether or not he should reveal who he truly was, or use the alias he had been telling people across the land. Well, he's already following us home. Might as well. He turned back halfway, one foot still facing the other direction. "As I suppose you could have guessed, I am Sylfaen, ruler of the Ice Nymphs. It has been quite some time since I have been safely within my kingdom..." A dark look of sadness and regret came upon his face as he said this, only to be brightened by Tundra's gentle nuzzle. "Ah yes, little one. Must stay focused on the present." As he walked further off, his skin began to whiten, as did his hair. It was very light, almost unnoticable if you were far enough away.

Ravi listened to Sylfaen. "Cool. You're the Ruler?" Ravi smiled. "Oops. That turned out to be a question. I'm sorry," he apologized. He then looked at Tundra. "She's a magnificent creature. One time I wished to have a friend like her, but my parents wouldn't allow it. May I pet her?" he asked. He wouldn't touch her without Sylfaen's permission and or if Tundra didn't seem interested.

Kaylen took a step back in astonishment. This whole time she had been standing by Sylfaen and his owl Tundra, the whole time and never knowing?! Bringing her hand up to her mouth as her eyes grew wide she stuttered, "Oh, oh!" Then her mouth curved into a smile and she curtsied deeply to him, bowing her head. "Forgive me my ignorance, Lord Sylfaen." When she looked up her eyes were shining with tears, "It's so good to have you back! Even though I'm a earth nymph my parents used to talk about you, wishing you would come back. Oh, how I wish they could have lived to see you here today!" Standing straight she smiled at Tundra, "I knew that you couldn't have been so beautiful unless you were some bird of importance."
Walking up to catch up to Sylfaen she clasped her hands in front of her. "How Raphael will be glad to see you!" The things of this world seemed to be heading in the right direction, hopefully that wouldn't change.

Sylfaen smiled gently and inclined his head to them. Tundra turned and continued to glower at the man who had the feathers spurting out of his back, basically saying, "you touch me, I'll bite your hand off." Sylfaen hadn't really been paying attention to Tundra or Ravi who was intent on petting her. As Kaylen told him about her parents, he listened with interest, wondering where she came from. It was true; he had been gone for quite a few years. Tundra straightened herself up, basking in the praises that everyone was pouring out. Sylfaen gave her a little touch on the head, and she ducked, looking back up at him and cooing indignantly. "No need to get arrogant, missy," he scolded, the playful smile still on his lips.
His eyes lit up as Kaylen mentioned Raphael. "Raphael..?" His expression turned from playful to less than cordial within an instant. "I... Yes, I suppose he will be." He didn't want to tell her of the sneaking suspicions he had of Raphael. He had always thought that man was less than honest.

Kaylen smiled at Sylfaen and Giggled at Tundra's different expressions. She was a smart bird, and seemed to be very moody also, yet that was a character about her that separated her from the rest of the white owls.
As Sylfaen's face changed from playful to distrusting Kaylen's smile faded slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to unearth bad feelings..though I assure you it was unconsciously done!" Turning away she thought for a moment of how to change the subject. As an idea popped into her head a gleam came to her eyes. "How far away is the castle?"

Sylfaen just nodded sadly. "It's under odd circumstances. Certainly not your fault." He looked out into the distance, squinting his eyes. He couldn't really judge; there weren't any landmarks as far as he could see."I can't really tell, to be honest. This place is so barren that there's not much to judge it by." Tundra cooed and tossed her head to the right, trying to get Sylfaen's attention. He glanced over in that direction, his eyes widening at the sight of a short, stubby creature with a huge set of teeth and fur sprouting out of pretty much anywhere. With a single swoop, he unsheathed his sword that had been hidding beneath his dull grey jacket.
"Get back, and keep quiet!" he commanded. The creature moved slowly towards them, sniffing the air and looking around. Sylfaen held himself as still as stone, sword in a position to swing out at a second's notice. When it didn't notice them, it turned away and trudged off in the other direction. Sylfaen relaxed his position, sighing with relief. "That's a landmark for you. Those creatures... They eat whatever they can catch. They have terrible eyesight, so they can only hear you. As far as I know, there have only been attacks reported close to home.." Tundra hooted in agreement, flapping her wings impatiently.

Kaylen nodded slightly, but Sylfaen probably didn't notice because of a strange creatures appearance. Moving back her blue eyes seemed to double in size and she shrank by Ravi. What was this thing.. it wasn't the prettiest creature, but it certainly looked dangerous. when it passed on Kaylen turned to the boy. her cheeks turned the slightest shade of pink, though if you were looking at her you couldn't tell it if was from the cold or something else. "Why don't you fly up in the air and see if you could show us which direction to go.. It certainly would be a big help."

Sylfaen thought this was highly unnessecary. He could surely find his way home from here. Ravi seemed completely unresponsive, anyway. He began to walk in the direction he thought was the most sensible, leaving Ravi behind. "It seems as though he doesn't wish to follow," he said to Kaylen. They would continue on on their own, then. Even if he had been away for a few years, he should at least know which direction it was in. After walking in silence for a few minutes, he began to think that perhaps he had gone the wrong way after all.
Suddenly, the sight of gates and towering white walls caught his eye. He squinted, barely able to see the sight of guards with navy blue and white uniforms marching back and forth, keeping out a watchful eye. "I do believe we've found it..." he said joyfully.
