Bael stepped out of a house and walked around the corner. He held onto his new treasure. "Ahh." He said, "You're going to let me survive for the next month or so." He walked down this seemingly pitch-black alley way and stopped when he heard breathing. A man sat against a building next to a fire. A tent was perched behind the fire and a tin barrel probably full of the man's goods. "What is a kid doing here at this hour?" He growled as he looked up to make sure the moon was still there and it was in fact still night time. As Bael stepped into the light of the fire, a slight smile was present on his face. "Do you not recognize me Noah?" Bael said with a rasp voice. "No, I don't kid. Now get out, I might have real customers here." Noah said while shooing Bael off. Bael turned his head to Noah. His foggy eyes glaring straight into Noah's dark brown eyes. "You are Noah?" He finally said after a minute pause. "I'm Noah the Third." Noah proclaimed, now getting scared of this kid in his shop. Bael threw the pendant at NoahIII, "How much for it?" He said with a haste now. Noah gave a quick glance, "I'll give you 250 for it." He gasped. "Its at least 400 Noah..." Bael became impatient. "Fine 450, just get out." Noah starting shooing again. A medium sized bag was thrown and hit Bael in the chest, falling to the ground. He leanded over and picked it up and dissapeared, headed out of the alley way.

Raphael had been taking a survey of the decay and damage that was still left behind from so long ago. Every burn mark, gaping hole, and crushed building that he made notice of brought back everything. All the merchants and shop owners were shouting and pleading to cease the fighting, but the others were deaf and blind to their woeful cries. The only goal they were concerned with was finally getting their way, and they knew no amount of peasants could stop them. He began to turn the corner slowly, his limp leg was acting up, and suddenly he stopped. He lost his breath for a moment, taking a double take. Had 146 years really passed already..? Oh, he couldn't even think of what Axel's reaction to the news would be.
After arguing with himself for a moment, he called out softly but firmly, "Bael. Set free already, are you? I do hope you don't have any plans to repeat your previous actions." He crossed his arms, shook his head, and sighed. "146 years, gone, just like that.. Quite an amazing thing." Raphael was saying this purely out of disbelief. It just didn't seem possible that over a century had already passed. He thought back to the Guardian Wars, which seemed to last days, but certainly not years. Everything just went by like the rush of the wind for him.

Bael had turned the corner out the alley and onto the sideway when he heard a familiar voice. He stopped and turned. "Raphael?" He questioned. He didn't want to beleive he was facing a Guardian. He was in doubt. It must've been the wind. But the voice rang again in his head. He felt obligated to answer, even if the voice wasn't real, "It was a slow 146 years to me. And, I don't know if the circumstances will unflold to allow me to get close enough to make another attack." Bael took a couple steps toward the voice. "It is you Raphael. I can feel you." He mumbled as he could feel a sense of happiness cover him in such a way it could only be manifested by Raphael, the Guardian of Life. Bael became nervous when discovering his unreal voice was actually real.

Britta awoke agianst a hard red brick builing. "Exactly, when did I get here?" She asked herself. It didn't really matter she was here now, where is here any way? She thought. Britta began walking on the asphalt ignoring the people's strange responces tawords her, "so what if I am not wearing shoes?" she muttered. The wind gave her a chill so she turned into the nearest form of shelter. She saw a few people in an alley so quickly walked in to avoid the cold by the sheild of the buildings. "do you mind if I stand here till the wind blows over" she asked the Guardian. not knowing she broke the seriousness of the conversation.

Raphael sniffed at Bael's response, asif he had made a joke. "I would certainly hope not. If Axel even knew you were set free, I don't believe he would be as lenient as he once was toward your punishment." He then noticed how Bael said he "felt" him, and how he didn't seem to be quite sure if Raphael was there. What had happened to the banished demon? He got a bit closer and examined Bael's eyes. Hazy. "Has the Taiga really done that to you... Pity, that. Must be a much different world without one's sight."
Raphael jumped when a stranger peered around the alleyways, cat ears poking out from her head and a long tail swishing behind her. "Y-yes, of course, but... Do tell me, who are you, young lady? I don't believe I have ever been acknowledged by you, or vice versa." He was hoping she wasn't another one of those "neutral" creatures. They neither accepted nor opposed the Guardians. They were quite irritating, with their messed up logic and how they could never bring themselves to make up their minds.

Bael turned his head to the new voice he heard. Then began to speak, "Yes it is very hard to get around sometimes..." He admitted to Raphael. "And I think Axel forgot about me, or else I would be dead by now."
Bael was still looking toward the direction of the new guest and was dumbfounded that someone could so calmly walk up to a Guardian so easily. "Yes," He agreed with Raphael, "Who are you?"

"My name is Britta, " she answered kind of confused. "Uhmmm... I know this is kind of a dumb question, but where am I?" Britta walked back a few steps to see the people better from the street lights. "also, may I ask who are you?" she looked at both of the people as she asked.

Raphael stared at her incredulously. Did she really just ask who he was? Had she been living under a rock her whole life? He replied, laughing slightly while he did, "Well, my dear, I am Raphael Angius, the Guardian of Life." He examined her, wondering where on this earth she had been living. She didn't look all that out of the ordinary, although she seemed extremely confused. "And to answer your other question, you are in Sunshine Depths, the city of the Firefly Ruins. Where exactly do you come from, young lady?" She was so very strange. It made him extremely curious.

"Uhhmmm... " She began "well I don't have an exact place of orogin.." She stumbled with her words. " I raised myself I've been pretty much everywhere!" She chuckled out of nervousness. "Well, nice to meet you Rapheal" Guardians, what? she thought. "Guardians? I must look like a total idiot" she said thinking no one could hear her.

Bael was dumbfounded, Could someone really be this oblivious? He thought to himself. "Little girl," He said with a rasp voice. Bael cleared his voice and continued, "Little girl, Do you really not know this man?" He said pointing towards the street. "He is Raphael! Raf - i - el. He is the Guardian of Life! He is the Guardian of you!" He shook his hand vigorously at the street. An old man across the street stopped and looked. Noticing Bael pointing in his direction he looked down at himself and was nervous. The old man looked up at Bael and then ran in the opposite direction he was originally walking. Sub-races are so idiotic sometimes... He thought to himself as he fixed his posture.

"Little girl?" Britta asked in a appauled tone. "whatever... any way," she continued "at least I am not scaring defenceless old men." Britta stared at the old man running down the street and then at the man. "And you think I am strange..." Brittas voice trailed off. Thinking back to her childhood knowing nothing of the outside world.

Bael pulled out his dagger, which seems to grow as he get more money. It is now a short sword, more of a scimitar. "I could kill you right now if I wanted to!" Bael boasted viciously, "Even with the grand Guardian of Life next to me here." He was staring down Britta, well, what he thought was Britta. He had somehow lost perspective of where people were and was staring at the wall now. The light around them grew brighter. It was almost daytime in their section of the sidewalk. The color changed, Raphael glew blue and Britta red. Beal whipped his head toward Britta, "There you are!" All went dark. Bael was gone. "You're in my territory now Sub-race." He whispered in her ear. Then, he appeared behind her, sword at her neck.
"Slice...." You could almost hear the smile spreading on his face as he backed up and put his sword away. "You're dead sub-race." Bael gave out a small malacious laugh. As his laugh came to an abrupt halt, after noticing no one else was laughing, he cleared his throat and continued, "Ahem, yes. Yes, you are strange." He nodded his head in approval.

"Hmmm... that is not the least bit amusing" Britta whined. "Never the matter, I may be a sub-race, but a very awesome one at that" Britta attempted to hide her uneasiness about practacly becoming vulture food. "Why would you ever want to scare me like that?" Britta was practactly enraged. "if your hand slipped..." Britta glared into Bael's eyes. "You have problems.." Britta said at last.

Bael couldn't help but chuckle, "Little girl, obviously you don't know who I am. I am Bael, the Greatest Assassin to ever live. I once had Death's life in my grip." He turned his away and downward, as if to recollect on the moment before his failure. His head whipped back to where she was and he proceeded, "My hand would never slip. I would never fall to a newcomer's mistake like that." Bael scoffed at the crazy speak coming from this girl. "And what are you?" He turned the questioning on her, "You're just a simple Neko. You can't do anything."

"That may be true, I am nothing special," Britta stared deep into Bael's eyes. "You have probably lived on your own of course." Britta paused a moment "Did you raise your self? Learn Air powers, your self?" Britta walked closer. "I bet you never, thought that someone like you killed my parents." Britta felt strong, her heart raced she stood staring... breathing and staring, nothing else. "Well, I am a simple neko, who had to live 21years alone. And never once thought about killing someone for no reason"
