As Bael listened to the words she spoke he felt all worries drop. To him her voice was like a harp being played so elegantly, but with a strong finish showing that she wasn't all sweet. His face has cleared up and a light smirk was present. "I still have manners... I just learned it was easier to not mention my name sometimes..." He looked back at all the times he yelled his name to people right before their death. And those times he was boasting his name with some amazing feat.
His head cocked a bit to hear her voice as she spoke again. "Well, I suppose where I was going was the wrong way. I think I am now going the right way though." He said with a smile. "I am a wanderer too." He admitted, "Most places don't want me so I just walk around and enter the towns at night." A gust blew ripples in his fur coat and his hair dances wildly. "It's hard to beleive but most people hate me or fear me. You new comers I've notice seem to treat me like a kid." He let out a laugh and continued, "You know... Now that I think of it, it seems like new people just appear out of nowhere these days. It's kind of annoying sometimes."

Athena nodded to him as a smile came to her lips also. "There is one thing that we have in common. I'm usually feared in places. Most people just like to believe I'm not there, or try to attack me thinking that I am something terrible.." A grimace came to her face. People could be so unacceptable, so brutal. Sometimes they could ruin someones day, or life, without even thinking twice.
The grimace left her face as a twisted smile came to her face. "Perhaps I am a newcomer to you..for I don't doubt you have walked this earth longer than I. I just haven't chosen to reveal myself to many. Usually I pass through towns, entering and leaving peoples lives without them even noticing me. " Her voice grew distant for a moment, "And in some ways I would like to keep it that way.." Her fiery eyes looked ahead, but didn't see, for her mind was left in memory. Silence reigned between them for a moment, for she didn't continue for a while. Friends were something that were treasures to her. Someone who understood not only who she was, but what she was. But she didn't like a lot of friends, just a few. It was safer to have a few close knit friends than alot of people who would talk. "People..can be brutal.. like those two back there. Do you get that often?"

Bael didn't notice her staring off into space just that his thoughts melted when she stopped talking. 'This effect is getting annoying.' He thought to himself. "Yes, you are a newcomer to me, and I think I've been here longer than you. I've just ben... absent for a couple of years..." He said with his head dropping. He lifted his head and turned to her. The stench from her hit him full blast and he wrinkled his nose, but didn't turn away. He was getting used to the smell a bit and now it was slowly getting a sweet scent behind the filthy stench.
He finally turned away and was soon lost in thought. A silence emerged between and Bael focused on the sound of Mag's light step of her feet as she barely touched the ground. "So tell me something..." Bael began as he broke the silence, "Why do people fear you? Why do they ignore you or try to attack you on sight?" His voice died off at the end because he felt like he was being too strong. "Sorry." He stabbed himself in the gut as he caught himself appologizing again. "You don't have to answer that if you don't want to..."

Athena's eyes flashed to him as anger resided withing them. Her mind started whirling had she been to free with talking to this..demon? Those amber depths narrowed down to slits for a moment as she thought of how to answer. The truth, a lie, or a silence that would no doubt turn awkward.
"Because they see me as a monster. My kind have been banished from this land by murderers." A smirk came to her face as she glanced at him. "No doubt you understand the flip side of that. considering your quickness. " Her eyes grew distant. "My kinds time has passed long ago. The few of us that linger on live a life of solitude usually. Longing for the days passed, but knowing that they will never be the same again." She smiled slightly. "But perhaps we don't want the past to come again, for then it would lead to the same future." She shook her head slightly. "Forgive me, I have gone on to long."

Bael listened deeply to everything the beautiful harp played. "I understand what you mean." He said after a long pause. "If anyone can even remember my name I am automatically shunned out and scorned. The dishonor they show me is abysmal at best. And I am someone to be shown great honor." He stopped himself because he felt his whole history, though he explained, no boasted, to everyone, was not needed to be explained now to this woman The Majestic.
"I may seem hard on people or vile, but in reality I just joke around. Please understand if we are to end up as an aquaintanceship, it dire you understand I shall mean no harm to you ever and I am mostly joking around, even when the blade's edge is hovering over the string of ur life." He seemed to lightly grin as he explained this to her. He never felt so open or so free. Everything felt good to him and he felt that everything was holy and nothing could take him out of this trance. Whether intended or not she had the vile demon by collar and the Siren was singing sweet charms into his ear.
And he hated every minute of it.

Athena had been listening quietly, absorbing everything he had been saying. Then she let out a burst of laughter, which was rare for her in this form. But it was short lived as she reigned in her attention to keeping the human form. “ Aye, demon, and just remember that I am joking when my claws are unsheathed and my teeth are longing to grasp you in my jaws.” Amusement twinkled in her eyes as she looked at him. “But I will take your advice to heart Bael.” A smirk remained on her face as she continued to walk onward.
Even though many no doubt found Bael a bit, well, annoying, because of is wit and dry humor. Athena found it invigorating. It was something she could get used to. Sure she hadn’t known him for long, but he certainly understood some of what she was going through, which drew them together. Two loners talking, yes that is what it was like, or two comrades expressing their feelings and warning each other of their dangerous weaknesses. “So tell me, how do you manage to go from place to place without seeing? I’m sure that this little inconvenience doesn’t make you any less dangerous though, instead it might even give you a hand, for people underestimate you.”

Bael had small grin on his face and was soon reducing the gap between them. The smell was overwhelming and the terrible stinch seemed to be the subtle smell now. He laughed with her as they joked around. His feeling for her grew and he felt connected to her some how. The feeling he felt was just that, a feeling. He couldn't even describe how or why he was feeling how he felt.
As he heard her finish the question his expression dropped. He had never been asked that ever. He never really thought about either, it just was. "Well," he began, "Most of the time when I'm just walking from town to town I don't need much. I can hear the wind and that helps a lot. It blows on things and makes whistling noises and so I know something is there so based on vague images that I see with my ears, I make a path to follow." He tried to explain this as best as he could, even if it didn't make sense to her, "But I have another sense I suppose. It forges in my mind and it can act like my eyes. Everything produces it's own light and every light produces it's own color. So, I pick up on the colors somehow and it's all clear. Like if I were to look at you now, I dunt see anything. I just know you're there because you are talking and the wind isn't hitting me where it should. But now, I can see your face and all ur hairs out of place." He said as he smiled, "Everything seems to glow in this vision like I have more acute vision. But, I mainly use it during fights only. And yes, it does give me an advantage because people do underestimate me." He had to force out a laugh to break the silence and show that he had finished with his explanation.

Athena reached her hand up to touch her golden hair, indeed, it was a mess. Probably from when she had finished flying and transformed. Deftly her slender fingers tucked some strands here, secured others here, and so forth until the golden bun on her hair looked neat and tidy, every hair looping twisting or braiding into the intricate bun on the back of her head. “Intriguing..” her eyes glanced at him before looking away, “Well what nature deprives you of, it definitely makes up for it in some other way.” So the wind was a clue, how interesting that something unseen and so unpredictable could guide someone and reveal it to those who couldn’t see. Her gaze lifted to the sky and to the world about her. It would be devastating to loose sight, at least for her. To never be able to see the endless blue sky or as it blushed to soft pink in the mornings or a deep red in the evenings, that would be terrible.
A leaf twirled down from the trees that surrounded them, landing right on her hand. She looked at it for a moment before dropping it to the ground. “Soon the world will be bathed in the fire of autumn, then the trees will drop their leaves like ashes and lay bare, only to come back strong and larger than if autumn’s fire had never touched them.” A smile played on her stoic lips, flickering in her eyes.

Bael closed his eyes and enjoyed her harmonic voice speak the dark peotic verse. "Yes, I suppose nature did replace my disability with another ability..." He admited. He ran his fingers through his hair and pulled out dead hairs. A gust blew and the hairs danced off. His fur coat rustled and a chill went down his spine. A light shiver took over his body. "I can't see well during autumn." He admitted.
"The leaves get blown up by the wind and obscure my vision. I guess they used to obscure my vision." He cleared his throat, "My new sight has only been recently aquired. I haven't used it yet to see in a rain storm or a wirlwind of leaves." He caughed lightly and scratched his hand. "So tell me about you" he finally blurted out. "Why are you hotter than most humans and don't smell like normal humans." He inhaled deeply and didn't want to exhale. "And why do people say you're a monster?"

Athena stayed quiet after his question. Indeed all that was heard in that forest was the wind rustling the dark trees. Should she tell him, should she reveal her secret? Her eyes glanced at Bael as he waited for an answer. He had been so honest to her, it was only right for her to be honest back. Yet still it was as if she couldn't find her tongue for a moment.
A sigh passed her lips as she nodded slightly, "Do doubt you can sense the fire that is within me, for I am a dragon." Her face grew grave, "A species that is hunted and almost extinct." A smirk came to her lips for a moment, "Though I can't say that we didn't go without a fight." Many times dragons would wipe out armies of people with only getting a few wounds. Indeed they had been almost unbeatable, until those blasted wizards started appearing and using their magic against them.

Bael was shocked. How could he have been so stupid. "A dragon!?" he exclaimed, "Oh my god, I've only heard stories. I mean I've seen one flying, but I didn't get close and I thought they were extinct by now." His expression was still shocked. "So you can breathe fire!?" He was excited now. "How does that taste? What is it like? Can you fly?" Bael was blurting out all the questions that kept popping into his head. "What does it feel like flying?" Then a big question hit him, "How do you look like a human?"
He quieted himself and grew bright red. "Don't answer that if you don't want to..." A slow awkward silence grew between them. He slowly gave his new friend a quick scan. Her newly fixed hair glowed brightly to him. Her skin seemed to shin more then normal and her black dress complimented the glow of her skin. "Now that I look at you more, I do see subtle differences I suppose..."

Athena smirked slightly at all of Bael's questions. Though she couldn't help be pleased by them. At least he wasn't charging at her with a pitchfork. Her gaze shifted to him again. "So you noticed the slight sheen to my skin, and the slightly pointed ears." She smiled slightly, "Interesting how the blind see clearer than the others." She looked down at him and let the silence grow between them.
"As for the other questions..." She looked toward the sky as her voice lowered. "It is something that you have to experience. As for the flying." She stopped walking. "I wouldn't be much of a dragon if I couldn't fly. But I tell you.. it is the most freeing experience that there ever was." Her eyes got a dreamy look for a couple moments before she looked at Bael, a mischievous grin played on her lips, "Want to try it out?"

Bael's excitment was clearly seen in his face. He could've fainted right there if he wasn't so pumped already. "Let's go, now!" He said as he disappeared and reappeared on her back. "ONWARD!" He cried out as he stuck one finger out. He shook his hand pointing foward. "Why aren't we going?" He fell off and landed on his back.
All of Bael's wisdom and aged experiences were out the door and all that remained was the little 12 year old boy that he looked like. "Can we go? Huh? Huh? Huh? NOW!?" He was jumping up and down. "Come on..." he almost begged her. "Wait! Breathe fire first!" A huge grin was slapped on his face after saying that. "Fire.... Breathe fire!"

Elizabeth was losing her mind. She had no idea where she was supposed to go, who she was going to see, or what in hell she was doing. Everything had been distorted, washed out, within those past few hours of wandering aimlessly through the Hallows. As she fell repeatedly, scraped her knee, cut up her arms and legs while stumbling over branches and animals alike in the darkness, the sensation she felt near Axel haunted her. She knew it wasn't healthy, especially for one who can sense spirits; it attracted the dark ones to her. They tugged at her mind, pleaded for help, called out to her so tenderly, but she forced herself to turn her back on them. She knew their malevolent intent, deep within her conciousness, but the pain was awful. She was in tears, a definite scowl planted on her face as she tried to hold herself together.
Elizabeth felt like an evil, heartless monster, turning her back on those only she and few others could help. But she had to press on. She had to complete whatever goal it was that she started with. Was there a goal? How did she end up traveling through these demon-infested woods? Looking for someone, or something? Her mind whirred. "Oh, what am I going to do?" she lamented to no one in particular. Suddenly, the sound of a joyous childish voice rang in her ear, followed by a familiar tone. Her head snapped around as she stared hardly at the cave from which it was coming. She broke out into a full sprint, hoping this was where she was meant to go.
She skidded to a halt as she entered the cave and glanced around at the scene before her. A red hot slap of recognition hit Elizabeth as she looked over at the elegant woman. Her mind was suddenly cleared, all the shadowy masques chased away. "...Athena!" she exclaimed with her bottom lip trembling. She felt a weight drop from her shoulders, and relaxed. Something, however, was surrounding the little boy that stood not too far from her. Her eyes widened as she recognized it immediately. "...Demon," she muttered darkly.

Athena allowed a smile to take over her usually stoic features. But just as she was going to stop thinking the spell that bound her in her present form, a familiar voice broke through her thoughts. Whirling around she saw the pale and familiar face, Elizabeth. Her eyes flashed with glee as the smile still played on her lips. “Elizabeth! I see you are growing good at this game.” Then her face dropped for Elizabeth’s strained features were recognized. “Elizabeth are you alright?”
Why was her friend giving Bael such a venomous glare? It seemed to be the first thing people did when they saw him. Motioning to Bael she said in a quiet tone, “This is Bael, do.. you know him?” Her fiery eyes glanced over her friend as she remembered that darkness of this place. No doubt it was draining her friend to hear those cries. Athena, luckily, wasn’t so sensitive to those things. If she was, she didn’t let on to it or she simply had found a way to block them out. But even though Athena didn’t usually care about people, the way Elizabeth looked, and what she had been through, caused Athena to be concerned. For once she had forged a friendship, she would do anything for the person, even give her life.
